ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS
We seek to encourage in each child a natural love of learning, positive social skills and a healthy self-image, in a safe and caring environment.
We provide activities and experiences appropriate for each stage of development. We offer opportunities for your child to venture out into the community on field trips under the supervision of watchful and qualified teachers.

In our work with children, we use methods and materials from many highly respected sources, such as Montessori, Piaget and Gesell. We offer a variety of approaches to learning, plus well-balanced, developmentally appropriate programs. Children attending our private preschool, jr. kindergarten, kindergarten and elementary school have the advantage of small classes and more individualized attention.

A BIT OF HISTORY
Woodside West School, privately owned and operated, was founded by Patricia Dumbadse on June 14, 1974, in order to offer children a type of early childhood education appropriate for their many differing stages of development, along with child care services at the same sites.

OUR TEACHERS AND STAFF
are independent and resourceful people who care about children and are interested in providing children with happy and meaningful early school experiences. We value their enthusiasm and recognize the important and invaluable parts they play in the lives of all your children and families. They include individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds from credentialed teachers, specialists in early childhood education, preschool teachers with years of experience, former public school aides, college students in the process of furthering their educations and high school students in occupational programs who are discovering what teaching and caring for children is all about. Of course, all of our staff is qualified and since we are a state-licensed facility, our staff has been checked and cleared by fingerprinting and background checks.
WOODSIDE WEST SCHOOL'S EARLY CHILD EDUCATION AND CHILD CARE CENTERS
are members of the Professional Association for Childhood Education. Woodside West School also accepts subsidized care for qualifying parents through the P.A.C.E. Alternative Payment System and other various federal and state government funded programs.
